"Mooncakes sold much better in basic packages this year. It's heartening to see the mooncake is back to its essence," said Guo Fusheng, head of the Yunnan Food Industry Association.

“簡(jiǎn)裝月餅”的英文表達(dá)是mooncakes in basic packages。由于中央嚴(yán)令禁止use of public funds to buy gifts（公款送禮），往年賣得很火的deluxe gift boxes of mooncakes（豪華月餅禮盒）今年風(fēng)光不再。


另一方面，今年中國(guó)月餅的出口量卻有所回暖，尤其是廣東的月餅。廣東以出產(chǎn)Cantonese-style mooncake made with lotus seed paste and yolk（蓮蓉和蛋黃餡的廣式月餅）而著稱。近幾年，香港的snow skin mooncake（冰皮月餅）也極為走俏。
