Beijing will hike the minimum monthly wage by 8.6 percent starting January 1, 2012, to help attract laborers facing rapidly rising living costs, a local official said Thursday.
The minimum monthly wage will be raised by 100 yuan to 1,260 yuan ($200), said Sun Yan, deputy director of the Beijing municipal human resources and social security bureau.
Twenty-one provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities had raised the minimum monthly wage by an average of 21.7 percent by October this year
2012年1月1日起，北京市最低月工資將增長(zhǎng)8.6%，以幫助勞動(dòng)者應(yīng)付飛速上漲的生活成本。
據(jù)北京市人力社保局副局長(zhǎng)孫彥介紹，北京市最低工資標(biāo)準(zhǔn)調(diào)整為1260元（200美元），增加了100元。
截止2011年10月，全國(guó)21個(gè)省市自治區(qū)調(diào)高了最低工資標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，平均漲幅21.7%。
