A word
Can I have a word with you?
I don't think she's interested but I'll have a word with her.
- Tom, can I have a word with you? It won't take long.
- Sure. I'll be with you in a minute.
Have words
Have words
Have words
Parents had words last night.
In a word
漢語中,我們經(jīng)常說一句話“總而言之、言而總之”是不是“To make a long story short”呢?
“總之、總而言之”是“In a word”或者“All in all”的意思。
In a word, they can do everything they like with, money.
In a word, I am tired of everything.
Eat one's word
Eat one's word
What he said proved wrong, so he had to eat his words.
I never thought Clare could handle this job, but I have to eat my words now.
What's the good word?
What's the good word?
What's the good word?
Haven't seen you for a long time.
What's the good word?
From the word go
“From the word go”是指“始終,從一開始;完全,徹底”的意思!
Again, your readers will have to buy my book for the whole story, but there is no question that Dumbledore took an unnatural interest in Potter from the word go.
Yes, it was love from the word go.
by word of mouth
I think the best form of advertising is by word of mouth. People don't believe a lot of what they hear or see in paid-for advertisements, but when they hear a recommendation directly from a friend, they are far more likely to act on it.
