Don't be confused with imagination and knowledge. As the famous scientist Einstein had said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” It should not also be confused with the will power. As we grow older we are immersed in so many day to day worries of life and our imagination gets bogged down.Most of the times we forget this essential part of our brain.

Imagining Failure
Imagine there is a very long narrow log of wood in front of you on the floor. If you were asked to walk along it, I'm sure you would have no trouble in walking easily. Now, vividly imagine that same log of wood, in front of you, suspended between two buildings fifty stories up. It is the same log of wood, but your imagination that you are fifty stories up would most likely stop you walking across it. Your imagination will surely see yourself falling!

There is n doubt that your imagination is more powerful than your willpower. We need to foster a healthy respect for our creative imagination throughout our adulthood. It is the key to every learning, which is unfortunately often knocked out of us in childhood by parents, prejudiced habits, many religions, the media and quite often by some teachers.

Start Your Imagination With a Dream
The famous Indian President who was a space scientist sed to say' “Unfold your wings of imagination. Dream. Dream and fly higher and higher.” We should cherish our imaginations and our ability to dream. Everything starts with a dream. We go through our normal lives dreaming without realizing it. When you play sports, drive a car, work in a factory or go shopping you make a mental picture of what you are going to do, without thinking. To do this we program our brain cells automatically. Never say we cannot do something which means we will have trouble doing it. The fact is if we use our imagination and see ourselves doing something, then we will be able to do it.

Just a Little Practice
You can try using your imagination by sitting quietly in a comfortable chair, eyes closed. Then mentally rehearse for a while whatever it is in your life that you wish to improve -- your friendships, tennis game, public speaking, athletics, an invention, whatever. By visualizing, you implant in your mind subconscious improvements in your chosen subject. Never forget to do this where you will not be interrupted.

去想象失敗。試想有一根長長的窄窄的木料擋在你的門前。如果你被要求跨過它，我相信你會毫無費力地做到。但現(xiàn)在，想想同樣的一根木料，懸掛在兩棟建筑物之間，高達50層。仍是同樣的木料，但你猜想在50層的高度上，你幾乎不可能走過去。你的想象中，你一定看到了自己跌落的樣子。想象力是怎樣失去的呢？毋庸置疑，想象力要比意志力重要的多。成年后，我們需要對我們具有創(chuàng)造性的想象力予以有益的尊重。它是學習的關鍵，可是在童年時常不幸地我們的父母，傳統(tǒng)的偏見，各種宗教思想，媒體尤其是某些老師給摒棄。

以夢想開始你想象。著名的印度總統(tǒng)，他曾今是一個航天文獻工程方面的科學家。他說：“張開你想象的予以。夢想，夢想你飛得越來越高，越來越高。”我們應該珍惜我們的想象和夢想的能力。一切都是從夢想開始。過著平凡日子的我們沒有意識到它，如果你進行體育鍛煉，開車，在工廠里工作或是去購物，在出發(fā)的時候你將會在頭腦中形成圖畫。你毫無意識，因為我們的神經(jīng)細胞會自動執(zhí)行這套程序。如果我們做某事有困難，我們絕不說我們做不了。事實上，假如我們用上我們的想象，我們可以看見我們正在做某事，接著我們就愿意并且能夠去做它。你可以嘗試用用你的想象力，你安靜地坐在一張舒服的椅子上，閉上眼，接著在腦子里排練一會，想想你的友誼，乒乓球，公眾演講，體育運動，發(fā)明，無論什么，只要你希望得到改善的�？恐�這樣可視化的想象，你將在你的腦子里植入你對所選問題的潛意識的改進措施。在不被打擾的地方，你一定不要忘記要這樣做。
